Like many others, Excel spreadsheets formed the basis of offer calculations at Büchel Blech AG in Balzers, Liechtenstein. In 2023, the decision was made to rethink the quotation process and its ERP integration. The goal was to increase the efficiency of the Work preperation and achieve greater transparency. The quote calculation was to be integrated with a bidirectional interface to the ERP. Additionally, an upload feature for STEP files was desired.

An internet search led to figureit and their solution steel it. The demo version was more convincing than those of other providers and the software’s basic framework already included more features.

«How steel it calculates sheet metal parts convinced us. The project with figureit was completed within a few months. Currently, the final testing phase is underway. The go-live, including a parallel operation in the initial phase, is planned for March.
